सेनापति-निर्णयः तथा पाण्डवसेनायाः कुरुक्षेत्रगमनम्

Decision on Command and the Pandavas’ March to Kurukshetra

नते राज्यं प्रयच्छन्ति विना युद्धेन पाण्डव । विनाशहेतव: सर्वे प्रत्युपस्थितमृत्यव:,पाण्डुनन्दन! वे कौरव बिना युद्ध किये तुम्हें राज्य नहीं देंगे। उन सबके विनाशका कारण जुट गया है और उनका मृत्युकाल भी आ पहुँचा है

na te rājyaṁ prayacchanti vinā yuddhena pāṇḍava | vināśahetavaḥ sarve pratyupasthitamṛtyavaḥ pāṇḍunandana ||

Hỡi Pāṇḍava, họ sẽ không trao vương quốc cho ngươi nếu không qua chiến tranh. Tất thảy bọn họ đã trở thành chính nguyên nhân của sự diệt vong của mình, và kỳ hạn tử vong của họ đã kề cận, hỡi con trai của Pāṇḍu. Lời khuyên ấy ngụ ý rằng khi kiêu mạn và bất công hóa thành sự khước từ cứng rắn, xung đột trở nên không thể tránh; và adharma chín muồi thì tự kết thành quả báo diệt vong.
