अलब्ध्वा यदि वा लब्ध्वा नानुशोचति पण्डित: । आनन्तर्य चारभते न प्राणानां धनायते,विद्वान पुरुषको अभीष्ट फलकी प्राप्ति हो या न हो, वह उसके लिये शोक नहीं करता। वह (अपनी पूरी शक्तिके अनुसार) प्राणपर्यन्त निरन्तर चेष्टा करता है और अपने लिये धनकी इच्छा नहीं करता
Translation
Bậc hiền trí không than tiếc, dù không đạt được hay đã đạt được. Người ấy khởi sự nỗ lực không gián đoạn, dốc đến tận hơi thở cuối cùng, và không ham cầu của cải cho riêng mình.
