Udyoga-parva Adhyāya 130: Kuntī’s Instruction on Rājadharma and Daṇḍanīti
तब महाबाहु जनार्दनने धृतराष्ट्रसे कहा--“कुरुनन्दन! आपको दो अदृश्य नेत्र प्राप्त हो जाया ।।
tatrādbhutaṃ mahārāja dhṛtarāṣṭrasya cakṣuṣī | labdhavān vāsudevāc ca viśvarūpa-didṛkṣayā ||
Tại đó, tâu Đại vương, đã xảy ra một điều kỳ diệu: Dhṛtarāṣṭra được Vāsudeva ban cho hai con mắt siêu phàm, vì khát vọng được chiêm ngưỡng Thế Thân vũ trụ của Ngài.
धृतराष्ट उवाच
Extraordinary perception (divine vision) is portrayed as a gift of grace enabling insight into a higher reality (viśvarūpa). The ethical implication is that receiving greater vision should lead to greater responsibility and right judgment, not merely amazement.
In the course of the Udyoga Parva narration, it is stated that Dhṛtarāṣṭra receives two supernatural eyes from Vāsudeva so that he may behold the Lord’s universal form (viśvarūpa).
