अस्तु शेषं कौरवाणां मा पराभूदिदं कुलम् | कुलघ्न इति नोच्येथा नष्टकीर्ति्नराधिप,“नरेश्वर! कौरववंश बचा रहे, इस कुलका पराभव न हो और तुम भी अपनी कीर्तिका नाश करके कुलघाती न कहलाओ
astu śeṣaṃ kauravāṇāṃ mā parābhūd idaṃ kulam | kulaghna iti nocyethā naṣṭakīrtir narādhipa ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana nói: “Ước sao phần còn lại của nhà Kaurava được trường tồn; chớ để dòng tộc này rơi vào diệt vong. Đừng để người đời gọi ngươi là ‘kẻ sát hại tông tộc mình’; hỡi bậc quân vương, chớ vì đem hủy diệt đến cho gia tộc mà đánh mất danh tiếng.”
