वक्तुमिच्छामि तु सखे यथा जानासि मां पुरा । न तथा वित्तवानस्मि क्षीणं वित्तं च मे सखे,'सखे! फिर भी मैं एक बात कहना चाहता हूँ। आप पहलेसे मुझे जैसा धनवान्‌ समझते हैं, वैसा धनसम्पन्न अब मैं नहीं रह गया हूँ। मित्र! मेरा वैभव इन दिनों क्षीण हो गया है

Transliteration

vaktum icchāmi tu sakhe yathā jānāsi māṃ purā | na tathā vittavān asmi kṣīṇaṃ vittaṃ ca me sakhe ||

Translation

Nārada nói: “Bạn hiền, ta vẫn muốn nói với bạn một điều. Như trước kia bạn biết ta—một người giàu có—thì nay ta không còn như vậy nữa. Bạn hiền, của cải của ta những ngày này đã hao mòn.”
