Educational Q&A

The verse underscores the dharmic ideal of friendship: a true friend, pleased by a rightful request, comes forward willingly to help and to fulfill what is dear to the other.

After someone speaks (implied: a request or statement), Garuḍa—identified as Vinatā’s son and the person’s friend—appears before him, delighted, and begins to speak, indicating readiness to assist.
