तदलं ते विरोधेन शमं गच्छ नृपात्मज । वासुदेवेन तीर्थेन कुलं रक्षितुमहसि,अतः राजकुमार! इस विरोधसे तुम्हें कुछ मिलनेवाला नहीं है। पाण्डवोंके साथ संधि कर लो। भगवान्‌ श्रीकृष्णको सहायक बनाकर इनके द्वारा तुम्हें अपने कुलकी रक्षा करनी चाहिये

tad alaṁ te virodhena śamaṁ gaccha nṛpātmaja | vāsudevena tīrthena kulaṁ rakṣitum arhasi ||

Kaṇva nói: “Đủ rồi sự thù nghịch ấy, hỡi hoàng tử; nó chẳng đem lại lợi ích chân thật nào cho ngươi. Hãy hướng về hòa bình. Với Vāsudeva (Śrī Kṛṣṇa)—một nơi nương tựa thiêng liêng—ở bên, ngươi nên bảo toàn dòng tộc mình bằng cách lập hòa ước với các Pāṇḍava.”
