हन्त यत् ते प्रवक्ष्यामि तच्छुणुष्व समाहित: । ऋषीणां देवतानां च सम्भवं वसुधातले
hanta yat te pravakṣyāmi tac chṛṇuṣva samāhitaḥ | ṛṣīṇāṃ devatānāṃ ca sambhavaṃ vasudhātale ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: “Nào, hãy lắng nghe với tâm trí chuyên nhất điều ta sắp nói. Ta sẽ kể, với sự minh bạch và thiện ý, về sự hiển lộ và nguồn gốc của các bậc hiền triết (ṛṣi) cùng chư thiên trên mặt đất.”
