Kośārtha-Rājadharma: Ethical Revenue Collection and Social Regulation (कोशार्थ-राजधर्मः)
आपशद्येव तु याचन्ते येषां नास्ति परिग्रह: । दातव्यं धर्मतस्तेभ्यस्त्वनुक्रोशाद् भयान्न तु,जिन लोगोंके पास कुछ भी संग्रह नहीं है, वे यदि आपत्तिके समय ही याचना करें तो उन्हें धर्म समझकर और दया करके ही देना चाहिये, किसी भय या दबावमें पड़कर नहीं
āpadyeva tu yācante yeṣāṃ nāsti parigrahaḥ | dātavyaṃ dharmatas tebhyaḥ tv anukrośād bhayān na tu ||
Bhīṣma nói: Những người không có của để dành hay tài sản chỉ đi xin khi tai ương ập đến. Với họ, hãy bố thí như một bổn phận của dharma, vì lòng thương xót—chứ tuyệt đối không vì sợ hãi hay bị ép buộc.
