सम्मानयेत् पूजयेच्च वाचा नित्यं च कर्मणा । कुर्याच्च प्रियमेतेभ्यो नाप्रियं किज्चिदाचरेत्
sammānayet pūjayec ca vācā nityaṃ ca karmaṇā | kuryāc ca priyam etebhyo nāpriyaṃ kiñcid ācaret |
Bhishma nói: “Bậc quân vương phải luôn kính trọng và phụng thờ thân tộc của mình—bằng lời nói cung kính và bằng việc làm bền bỉ. Ngày qua ngày, hãy làm điều khiến họ vui lòng, chớ làm bất cứ việc gì gây phật ý.”
