Chapter 78: Royal Responsibility for Wealth, Social Order, and the Protection of Dvijas

Kekaya Exemplum

कृपणानाथवृद्धानां दुर्बलातुरयोषिताम्‌ । संविभक्तास्मि सर्वेषां मामकान्तरमाविश:

kṛpaṇānātha-vṛddhānāṁ durbalātura-yoṣitām | saṁvibhaktāsmi sarveṣāṁ māmakāntaram āviśaḥ ||

Bhīṣma nói: “Đối với kẻ nghèo, người không nơi nương tựa, người già, kẻ yếu, người bệnh và phụ nữ, ta vẫn thường phân phát những điều cần thiết—lương thực, y phục, thuốc men và các thứ tương tự. Thế mà, bằng cách nào ngươi lại có thể xâm nhập vào chính thân ta, vào cõi nội tâm của ta?”
