Daṇḍanīti and the King as the Cause of Yuga-Order (दण्डनीतिः राजधर्मश्च युगकारणत्वम्)
हसन्ति च मनुष्याणां स्वरवर्णमनांस्युत । व्याधयश्व भवन्त्यत्र प्रियन्ते च गतायुष:
hasanti ca manuṣyāṇāṃ svaravarṇamanāṃsy uta | vyādhayaś ca bhavanty atra priyante ca gatāyuṣaḥ ||
Bhishma nói: Trong cảnh ấy, giọng nói, sắc diện, và cả tâm trí của con người đều trở nên vẩn đục, suy hoại. Bệnh tật và tai ách phát sinh, giày vò họ nơi đời này; và khi thọ mạng bị rút ngắn, người ta chết yểu ngay từ tuổi còn trẻ.
