भीष्म उवाच राजवृत्तं महाराज शृणुष्वावहितो5खिलम्‌ । यत्‌ कार्य पार्थिवेनादौ पार्थिवप्रकृतेन वा

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca rājavṛttaṃ mahārāja śṛṇuṣvāvahito 'khilam | yat kāryaṃ pārthivenādau pārthivaprakṛtena vā ||

Translation

Bhīṣma thưa: “Muôn tâu Đại vương, xin hãy lắng nghe chăm chú toàn bộ phép tắc của đạo trị quốc. Ta sẽ nói điều mà bậc quân vương phải làm trước hết—và cũng nói điều mà người nào, do bản tính và bổn phận, thích hợp để phụng sự nhà vua và gánh vác việc triều chính, cần phải làm.”
