Rājadharma’s ‘Essence’: Protection, Punishment, Intelligence, and Royal Diligence
राज्ञो रहस्यं यद् वाक््यं जयार्थ लोकसंग्रह: । ह्दि यच्चास्य जिह्दूं स््थात् कारणेन च यद् भवेत्
rājño rahasyaṁ yad vākyaṁ jayārthaṁ lokasaṅgrahaḥ | hṛdi yac cāsya jihvūṁ sthāt kāraṇena ca yad bhavet ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Trong lời bàn mưu của bậc quân vương phải có điều cần giữ kín, điều nên nói để cầu thắng và để quy tụ lòng dân; lại có điều phải canh giữ trong tim, không để tuôn ra nơi đầu lưỡi—cùng với những lý do và hoàn cảnh khiến mỗi cách xử sự trở nên thích đáng.”
