Vaiśampāyana uvāca | athābravīn mahātejā vākyam kauravanandanaḥ | hanta dharmān pravakṣyāmi dṛḍhe vā imanasi mama ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: Bấy giờ bậc đại uy lực, niềm hân hoan của dòng Kuru, cất lời rằng: “Hãy đến đây—nay ta sẽ giảng bày các nguyên lý của dharma, bởi quyết tâm của ta trong việc này đã vững như bàn thạch.”
