यस्मिन् नित्ये तते तन््तौ दृढे स्रगिव तिष्ठति
yasmin nitye tate tantau dṛḍhe srag iva tiṣṭhati
Bhīṣma nói: “Trên sợi chỉ vĩnh cửu, được kéo căng và bền chắc ấy, mọi sự nương tựa mà tồn tại—như một tràng hoa được xâu lại trên sợi dây mạnh.” Trong bối cảnh đạo đức, hình ảnh này dạy rằng muôn hình thức hành vi và kinh nghiệm chỉ có thể giữ được sự nhất quán khi đặt nền trên một nguyên lý bất biến, vững bền; thiếu nền tảng ấy, trật tự và ý nghĩa sẽ sụp đổ.
