ऋग्वेदपाठपठितं व्रतमेतद्धि दुश्चरम् । सुपर्णाच्चाप्यधिगतो धर्म एब सनातन:
ṛgvedapāṭhapaṭhitaṁ vratam etad dhi duścaram | suparṇāc cāpy adhigato dharma eṣa sanātanaḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: “Nghi giới này, đặt nền trên việc tụng đọc và học tập Ṛgveda, quả thật khó thực hành. Hơn nữa, pháp (dharma) vĩnh cửu này cũng đã được học từ Suparṇa (Garuḍa).”
