निरीक्ष्य चासुरेन्द्री तौ ततो युद्धे मनो दे । इस प्रकार बातचीत करके उन दोनोंने भगवान्‌को जगाया। उन्हें युद्धके लिये उत्सुक जान भगवान्‌ पुरुषोत्तम जाग उठे। फिर उन दोनों असुरेन्द्रोंका अच्छी तरह निरीक्षण करके उन्होंने मन-ही-मन उनके साथ युद्ध करनेका निश्चय किया ।।

Transliteration

Vaiśaṃpāyana uvāca |

Nirīkṣya cāsurendrī tau tato yuddhe mano dadhe |

Atha yuddhe samabhavat tayor Nārāyaṇasya vai ||

Translation

Vaiśaṃpāyana nói: Quan sát kỹ hai chúa tể A-tu-la ấy, Ngài liền hướng tâm vào chiến trận. Thế rồi, quả thật một cuộc giao chiến đã bùng lên giữa hai kẻ kia và Nārāyaṇa.
