Nāga-āyatana-darśana-pratīkṣā — The Brāhmaṇa’s Request and Waiting on the Gomatī
दुर्दशों भगवान् देव: सर्वलोकनमस्कृत: । सब्रद्यकै: सुरै: कृत्स्नैरन्यैश्वेव महर्षिभि:,सर्वलोकवन्दित भगवान् नारायणदेवका दर्शन तो ब्रह्मा आदि सम्पूर्ण देवताओं तथा अन्यान्य महर्षियोंके लिये भी दुर्लभ है
durdaśo bhagavān devaḥ sarvalokanamaskṛtaḥ | sabrahmakaiḥ suraiḥ kṛtsnair anyaiś caiva maharṣibhiḥ ||
Śaunaka nói: Đấng Thế Tôn, vị Thần được muôn cõi kính lễ, thật vô cùng khó được chiêm bái. Ngay cả Brahmā cùng toàn thể chư thiên, và các đại hiền triết khác nữa, cũng khó đạt được thị kiến về Ngài.
शौनक उवाच
The Lord’s direct vision (darśana) is rare and not guaranteed even to exalted beings like Brahmā and the gods; it is attained through exceptional spiritual qualification, humility, and divine grace rather than mere rank or power.
Śaunaka, in dialogue context within Śānti Parva, emphasizes the extraordinary difficulty of obtaining the Lord’s presence/vision, highlighting the reverence shown by all worlds and the limitation of even celestial beings and great sages in attaining that darśana.
