Atithi-satkāra and the Consolation of Wise Counsel (अतिथिसत्कारः प्रज्ञानवचनस्य च पराश्वासनम्)
सच्त्वान्नच्युतपूर्वो5हं सत्त्वं वै विद्धि मत्कृतम् । जन्मनीहा भवेत् सत्त्वं पौर्विकं मे धनंजय
sattvān na cyutapūrvo 'haṃ sattvaṃ vai viddhi matkṛtam | janmanīhā bhavet sattvaṃ paurvikaṃ me dhanañjaya ||
Hỡi Dhanañjaya, ta chưa từng rời khỏi sattva—nguyên lý thanh tịnh, sáng trong. Hãy biết rằng sattva phát sinh từ ta. Ngay trong lần giáng sinh này, sattva nguyên sơ của ta vẫn hiện hữu. Nhờ sattva, ta không vướng tội lỗi và hành động vô dục; và nhờ trí tuệ sāttvata của những người đã đạt đến Thượng Đế, bản tánh chân thật của ta được thấu rõ—bởi vậy người đời gọi ta là “Sāttvata”.
