Atithi-satkāra and the Consolation of Wise Counsel (अतिथिसत्कारः प्रज्ञानवचनस्य च पराश्वासनम्)
न चैवाकल्पयद् भागं दक्षो रुद्रस्य भारत । ततो दधीचिवचनाद् दक्षयज्ञमपाहरत्,भारत! उस यज्ञमें दक्षने रुद्रके लिये भाग नहीं दिया था; इसलिये दधीचिके कहनेसे रुद्रदेवने दक्षके यज्ञका विध्वंस कर डाला
na caivākalpayad bhāgaṃ dakṣo rudrasya bhārata | tato dadhīcivacanād dakṣayajñam apāharat ||
Hỡi Bhārata, Dakṣa đã không dành phần lễ tế cho Rudra. Vì thế, theo lời thúc giục của Dadhīci, Rudra đã đoạt lấy và phá hủy lễ tế của Dakṣa.
