Atithi’s Direction to the Nāga-sage Padma at Naimiṣa (अतिथ्युपदेशः—नैमिषे पद्मनागोपाख्यानप्रस्तावः)

क्रतुवधप्राप्तमन्युना च दक्षेण भूयस्तपसा चात्मानं संयोज्य नेत्राकृतिरन्या ललाटे रुद्रस्योत्पादिता
Translation
Vì cơn phẫn nộ do lễ tế (yajña) bị phá hoại, và do Dakṣa lại càng gia tăng khổ hạnh mà tự kết tụ sức mình, trên trán của Rudra đã hiện ra một dấu hiệu khác, hình như một con mắt. Cũng theo cách ấy, Dakṣa Prajāpati, giận dữ vì lễ tế của mình bị Rudra phá hủy, đã thực hành đại khổ hạnh và làm cho trên trán của Rudradeva hiển lộ dấu ấn của con mắt thứ ba.
