इस प्रकार श्रीमहाभारत शान्तिपर्वके अन्तर्गत गोक्षधर्मपर्वमें अनध्यायके कारणका कथन नामक तीन सौ जअद्ठाईसवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ

iti prakāraḥ śrīmahābhārate śāntiparvake antargata-gokṣadharmaparvaṇi anadhyāyakāraṇakathana-nāma trīśata-aṣṭāviṃśat-tamo 'dhyāyaḥ pūrṇaḥ

Translation

Như vậy, chương thứ ba trăm hai mươi tám của Mahābhārata, thuộc Śānti Parva, trong phần Gokṣa-dharma, mang nhan đề “Tường thuật nguyên nhân của Anadhyāya (tạm đình chỉ việc học Veda)”, đã kết thúc. Lời kết (colophon) này đánh dấu sự hoàn tất bài thuyết giảng của Bhīṣma về khi nào và vì sao việc học tập thiêng liêng cần được tạm dừng theo đúng dharma.
