तत्र देवगणा: साध्या महा भूता महाबला: । तेषामप्यभवत्‌ पुत्र: समानो नाम दुर्जय:,“पृथ्वी और आकाशमें जो महाबली और महान्‌ भूत-स्वरूप साध्य नामक देवगण अदृश्यभावसे रहते हैं, उनके दुर्जय पुत्रका नाम है समान

tatra devagaṇāḥ sādhya mahābhūtā mahābalāḥ | teṣām apy abhavat putraḥ samāno nāma durjayaḥ ||

Bhīṣma nói: “Ở nơi ấy ngự các thiên chúng gọi là Sādhyas—những hữu thể mang tính đại nguyên tố, sức mạnh lớn lao, vi tế và vô hình. Trong số họ cũng sinh ra một người con, bất khả chiến bại; tên là Samāna.”
