Yajña-bhāga-vyavasthā and the Pravṛtti–Nivṛtti Framework (यज्ञभागव्यवस्था तथा प्रवृत्तिनिवृत्तिधर्मविवेचनम्)
शिष्याणां वचन श्रुत्वा व्यासो वेदार्थतत्त्ववित् । पराशरात्मजो धीमान् परलोकार्थचिन्तक:
śiṣyāṇāṁ vacanaṁ śrutvā vyāso vedārtha-tattva-vit | parāśarātmajo dhīmān paralokārtha-cintakaḥ ||
Bhīṣma nói: Nghe lời các đệ tử, Vyāsa—bậc trí giả, người thấu triệt chân nghĩa của Veda, người con thông tuệ của Parāśara, luôn hướng tâm đến điều lợi ích cho đời sau—đã suy xét lời thỉnh cầu ấy, lấy phúc lợi tâm linh làm trọng hơn lợi danh thế tục.
