कस्यां चोत्पादयामास शुकं व्यासस्तपोधन: । न हास्य जननीं विद्य जन्म चाग्र्यं महात्मन:
Translation
Vyāsa, bậc giàu có bởi khổ hạnh, đã sinh ra Śuka từ thai của người nữ nào? Chúng con không biết danh tính mẹ của bậc đại hồn ấy, cũng chẳng tường tận chuyện tích về cuộc giáng sinh cao quý của Ngài.
