पुण्यपापेन मानुष्यमधर्मेणाप्यधोगतिम् । केवल पुण्य करनेसे मनुष्य ऊर्ध्वलोकमें गमन करता है
puṇyapāpena mānuṣyam adharmeṇāpy adhogatim |
Yājñavalkya nói: Do sự pha trộn giữa công đức và tội lỗi mà hữu tình được thọ sinh làm người; còn do hành vi phi pháp—lại càng vậy—mà sa vào các cảnh giới thấp. Lời dạy nêu rõ nhân quả đạo đức: công đức thuần tịnh nâng lên, hành vi lẫn lộn trói buộc vào luân hồi nơi cõi người, và tội lỗi dai dẳng kéo xuống dưới.
