Mahābhārata 12.292
रन्तिदेवेन लोकेष्टा सिद्धि: प्राप्ता महात्मना । फलपपत्रैरथो मूलैर्मुनीनर्चितवांश्ष सः
rāntidevena lokeṣṭā siddhiḥ prāptā mahātmanā | phala-pattrair atho mūlaiḥ munīn arcitavān saḥ ||
Đại vương Rantideva, bậc đại tâm, đã đạt đến sự viên mãn mà mọi người trong đời đều ước vọng. Ngài đạt được điều ấy nhờ kính lễ các bậc hiền thánh bằng những lễ vật giản dị—trái, lá và rễ—cho thấy chính lòng tôn kính chân thành và sự hiếu khách vô ngã, chứ không phải xa hoa, mới kết thành quả báo tối thượng.
