लता वल्यस्तृणौषध्य: पशवो मृगपक्षिण: । द्रव्यकर्मसमारम्भ: काल: पुष्पफलप्रद:

latā vallyas tṛṇauṣadhyaḥ paśavo mṛga-pakṣiṇaḥ | dravya-karma-samārambhaḥ kālaḥ puṣpa-phala-pradaḥ ||

Bhīṣma nói: “Chính Ngài là dây leo và cành mảnh, là cỏ và thảo dược; Ngài là gia súc, thú rừng và chim muông. Ngài là khởi nguyên của tài vật và hành nghiệp; và Ngài chính là Thời gian—đấng ban hoa và kết trái.”
