स तु बद्धाञज्जलिं सत्यमयाचद्धरिण: पुनः । सत्येन स परिष्वज्य संदिष्टो गम्पतामिति,सत्य सावित्रीदेवीकी ओर हाथ जोड़कर खड़ा था। इतनेहीमें उस हरिणने पुनः अपनी आहुति देनेके लिये याचना की। सत्यने मृगको हृदयसे लगा लिया और बड़े प्यारसे कहा --तुम यहाँसे चले जाओ'

sa tu baddhāñjaliṃ satyam ayācad dhariṇaḥ punaḥ | satyena sa pariṣvajya saṃdiṣṭo gampatām iti ||

Chắp tay cung kính, Satyam đứng đó và lại khẩn cầu con nai. Nhưng con nai vẫn một lần nữa xin được đem làm lễ vật hiến tế. Satyam ôm chầm lấy nó từ tận đáy lòng, rồi với lời lẽ âu yếm mà dứt khoát, dặn rằng: “Hãy rời khỏi nơi này.”
