Educational Q&A

Even in intense sorrow, one should not be carried away into harmful conclusions; a wise guide restrains grief-driven speech and redirects the mind toward dharma and steadiness.

After the war, Yudhiṣṭhira, shaken by grief for slain relatives, speaks despairingly; Vyāsa intervenes, checks him, and firmly rejects his line of thought—setting up further instruction in the Śānti discourse.
