पापात्म-धर्मात्म-लक्षणम् तथा निर्वेदेन मोक्षमार्गः | Marks of the Sinful and the Righteous; Dispassion (Nirveda) as a Path to Liberation
एवं स गौतम: पुत्र प्रीतिहर्षगुणैर्युत: । अभिनन्द्य महाप्राज्ञ इदे वचनमब्रवीत्,महामते! इस प्रकार प्रेम और हर्षसे भरे हुए गौतमने पुत्रका अभिनन्दन करके यह बात कही--
evaṁ sa gautamaḥ putra prīti-harṣa-guṇair yutaḥ | abhinandya mahāprājña idaṁ vacanam abravīt mahāmate ||
Bhishma nói: Như vậy, Gautama—bậc đại trí—đầy đủ đức tính của tình thương và niềm hoan hỷ, đã ân cần chào đón con trai mình rồi cất lời như sau, hỡi người có tâm lớn—mở đầu cho lời khuyên dựa trên chính đạo và sự phân biệt sáng suốt.
