कपिलगोसंवादे गृहस्थ-त्यागधर्मयोः प्रमाण्यविचारः

किसी समय माता-पिता उनको छोड़कर उड़ गये। अब वे बच्चे कभी आकर फिर चले जाते और जाकर फिर चले आते थे, इस प्रकार वे सदा आने-जाने लगे। उस समयतक जाजलि मुनि हिले-डुले नहीं ।।
tathā te divasaṃ cāpi gatvā sāyaṃ punar nṛpa | upāvartanta tatraiva nivāsārthaṃ śakuntakāḥ ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Tâu Đại vương, bầy chim nhỏ ấy bay đi kiếm ăn suốt ban ngày, đến chiều lại trở về chính nơi ấy để đậu ngủ. Thế là chúng vào nhịp đi-về đều đặn; còn hiền giả Jājali vẫn bất động—nhẫn nại quan sát, để dòng vận hành tự nhiên của đời sống trôi qua mà không khuấy động.”
