भीष्म उवाच
The verse teaches unwavering steadiness (dhṛti) and disciplined self-restraint: even when life unfolds around him and creatures are nurtured in his presence, the ascetic remains unmoved, exemplifying firmness in tapas and commitment to dharma.
Eggs that had been incubated and nourished hatch; the fledglings emerge and grow in the same place. Despite this activity and the passage of time, the sage Jājali does not move at all, underscoring his extreme stillness and austerity.
