Ātma-saṃyama-dharma: One-pointedness of Mind and Senses (शुक–व्यास संवादः)

धर्मलब्धर्युतो दारैरग्नीनुत्पाद्य यत्नत: । द्वितीयमायुषो भागं गृहमेधी भवेद्‌ व्रती

dharmalabdhairyuto dārair agnīn utpādya yatnataḥ | dvitīyam āyuṣo bhāgaṁ gṛhamedhī bhaved vratī ||

Vyāsa nói: Sau khi có được người vợ bằng con đường chính đáng, người ấy phải cẩn trọng nỗ lực thiết lập các ngọn lửa thiêng của gia đình. Rồi, giữ những lời nguyện cao quý, người ấy phải sống đời gia chủ có kỷ luật trong phần thứ hai của đời người—khoảng cho đến năm mươi tuổi—điều hành gia thất phù hợp với dharma.
