Householder Primacy and the Royal Duty of Punishment
स भवानभ्यनुज्ञात: शुचिकर्मा महाव्रत: । ब्रूहि कामानतो<न््यांस्त्वं करिष्यामि हि ते वच:
sa bhavān abhyanujñātaḥ śucikarmā mahāvrataḥ | brūhi kāmān ato 'nyāṁs tvaṁ kariṣyāmi hi te vacaḥ ||
“Ngài đã được chuẩn y, hỡi người thanh tịnh trong hạnh nghiệp, bậc giữ đại thệ. Nay hãy nói cho ta biết còn mong cầu nào khác; vì ta nhất định sẽ làm theo lời ngài.”
सुद्युग्न उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic etiquette: honoring a virtuous, vow-bound person with respectful address, granting due permission, and committing to fulfill their rightful requests—showing integrity and reverence for moral discipline.
Sudyugna addresses someone praised as pure in action and firm in vows, stating that permission has been granted and inviting them to state any further wishes, promising to carry out whatever they instruct.
