भीष्म उवाच मोक्षधर्मेषु नियतो लघ्वाहारो जितेन्द्रिय: । प्राप्नोति ब्रह्मण: स्थान तत्परं प्रकृतेर्ध्ुवम्‌,भीष्मजीने कहा--युधिष्ठिर! जो पुरुष मिताहारी और जितेन्द्रिय होकर मोक्षोपयोगी धर्मोंके पालनमें संलग्न रहता है, वही प्रकृतिसे परे अविनाशी ब्रह्मपदको प्राप्त होता है

bhīṣma uvāca: mokṣadharmeṣu niyato laghvāhāro jitendriyaḥ | prāpnoti brahmaṇaḥ sthānaṃ tat-paraṃ prakṛter dhruvam ||

Bhīṣma đáp: “Này Yudhiṣṭhira! Người nào chuyên tâm trong các pháp đưa đến giải thoát, ăn uống điều độ và chế ngự các căn, người ấy đạt đến địa vị Brahman—vượt ngoài Prakṛti và trường tồn.”
