प्रकाशं भगवानेतदृषिर्नातयणो5मृतम् । भूतानामनुकम्पार्थ जगाद जगतो गति:,संसारको शरण देनेवाले ऋषिश्रेष्ठ भगवान् नारायणने जीवोंपर दया करनेके लिये ही इस अमृतमय ज्ञानको प्रकाशित किया
prakāśaṃ bhagavān etad ṛṣir nārāyaṇo 'mṛtam | bhūtānām anukampārthaṃ jagāda jagato gatiḥ ||
Bhīṣma nói: Bậc Thánh hiền Nārāyaṇa—đấng nương tựa của thế gian và là đường hướng của vũ trụ—đã làm hiển lộ giáo pháp bất tử này, cất lời vì lòng bi mẫn đối với muôn loài.
