Manifest–Unmanifest Discrimination and the Supreme Path of Withdrawal
अग्निर्यथा हुपायेन मथित्वा दारु दृश्यते । तथैवात्मा शरीरस्थो योगेनैवात्र दृश्यते
agnir yathā upāyena mathitvā dāru dṛśyate | tathaivātmā śarīrastho yogenaivātra dṛśyate ||
Bhīṣma giải thích: như lửa tuy thấm trong gỗ nhưng không thấy cho đến khi gỗ được cọ xát theo đúng phương pháp, cũng vậy, Tự Ngã ở trong thân không hiện ra trước mắt; tại đây chỉ nhờ yoga mới chứng ngộ được. Ý nghĩa đạo lý là: chân lý nội tâm không nắm bắt bằng quan sát bên ngoài hay tranh luận suông, mà bằng sự tu tập kỷ luật làm hiển lộ điều vốn đã hiện hữu.
