अध्याय २०८ — इन्द्रियनिग्रहः, सत्याहिंसात्मकवाक्, कर्मफलविवेकः
Restraint of the Senses, Non-harming Truthful Speech, and Discernment of Karmic Consequence
प्रजामाचक्षते विप्रा: पुराणा: शाशबिन्दवीम् | स वृष्णिवंशप्रभवो महावंश: प्रजापते:
prajām ācakṣate viprāḥ purāṇāḥ śaśabindavīm | sa vṛṣṇivaṁśa-prabhavo mahāvaṁśaḥ prajāpateḥ ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Các hiền triết Bà-la-môn thời cổ kể rằng nguồn gốc của muôn dân bắt đầu từ Śaśabindu. Từ Prajāpati phát sinh dòng dõi vĩ đại ấy, và từ dòng dõi đó về sau xuất hiện vương tộc Vṛṣṇi lừng danh.”
