Śānti-parva 206: Guṇa-hetu Moha, Kāma-krodha Chain, Indriya-utpatti, and Nirodha
अदृष्टतो<नुपायाच्च प्रतिसंधेश्व॒ कर्मण: । न तेन मर्त्या: पश्यन्ति येन गच्छन्ति तत् पदम्
adṛṣṭato'nupāyāc ca pratisaṃdheṣu karmaṇaḥ | na tena martyāḥ paśyanti yena gacchanti tat padam ||
Bhīṣma nói: Vì con đường ấy không thể thấy trực tiếp, vì phương tiện không được hiểu rõ, và vì hành động bị rối buộc trong những cân nhắc trái ngược, nên phàm nhân không nhận ra lối đi đưa đến cảnh giới tối thượng. Do bất hạnh, do thiếu tư lương tâm linh, và do chấp trước vào quả báo của nghiệp, con người không nhận biết được con đường dẫn đến Đấng Tối Cao.
