Adhyāya 2: Nārada’s Disclosure—Karṇa’s Training and the Brahmin’s Curse (Śānti-parva)
तदज्ञानकृतं मत्वा ब्राह्मणाय न्यवेदयत् । कर्ण: प्रसादयंश्वैनमिदमित्यब्रवीद् वच:,अनजानमें यह अपराध बन गया है, ऐसा समझकर कर्णने ब्राह्मणको सारा हाल बता दिया और उसे प्रसन्न करते हुए इस प्रकार कहा--
tad ajñāna-kṛtaṁ matvā brāhmaṇāya nyavedayat | karṇaḥ prasādayaṁś cainam idam ity abravīd vacaḥ ||
Biết rằng lỗi ấy do vô ý mà thành, Karṇa bèn thuật lại trọn vẹn sự việc cho vị Bà-la-môn. Rồi để làm nguôi giận và cầu lại ân tình, Karṇa cất lời như sau.
