Adhyāya 2: Nārada’s Disclosure—Karṇa’s Training and the Brahmin’s Curse (Śānti-parva)
ब्र्मास्त्रं वेत्तुमिच्छामि सरहस्यनिवर्तनम् । अर्जुनेन समं चाहं युध्येयमिति मे मति:
brahmāstraṁ vettum icchāmi sa-rahasya-nivartanam | arjunena samaṁ cāhaṁ yudhyeyam iti me matiḥ |
Nārada nói: “Ta muốn học Brahmāstra, cùng với tri thức bí mật về cách thu hồi và gọi trở lại. Ta quyết rằng mình phải có thể giao chiến ngang hàng với Arjuna. Vì lòng thương của thầy công bằng đối với mọi đệ tử và cả con trai của thầy, xin ban cho ta giáo huấn ấy, để người trí không nói rằng ta không phải kẻ thông hiểu mọi loại vũ khí.”
