Adhyāya 2: Nārada’s Disclosure—Karṇa’s Training and the Brahmin’s Curse (Śānti-parva)
इस प्रकार श्रीमह्याभारत शान्तिपर्वके अन्तर्गत राजधमनुशासनपर्वमें कर्णकी पहचानविषयक पहला अध्याय पूरा हुआ
vaiśampāyana uvāca | sa evam uktas tu munir nārado vadatāṃ varaḥ | kathayām āsa tat sarvaṃ yathā śaptaḥ sa sūtajaḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: “Tâu Đại vương! Khi Yudhiṣṭhira đã hỏi như vậy, hiền triết Nārada—bậc tối thượng trong những người thuyết giảng—đã thuật lại trọn vẹn việc Karṇa, người con của kẻ đánh xe, đã đến nỗi mang lời nguyền ra sao. Câu chuyện chuyển sang mạch nhân quả đạo lý đứng sau số phận Karṇa, cho thấy lời nói và hành vi một khi đã gieo ra thì sẽ trở lại thành quả báo, ngay cả đối với bậc vĩ đại.”
