हिंसानृतप्रिया लुब्धा: सर्वकर्मोपजीविन: । कृष्णा: शौचपरिभ्रष्टास्ते द्विजा: शूद्रतां गता:

hiṃsānṛtapriyā lubdhāḥ sarvakarmopajīvinaḥ | kṛṣṇāḥ śaucaparibhraṣṭās te dvijāḥ śūdratāṃ gatāḥ ||

Bharadvāja nói: Những người “hai lần sinh” nào, đã lìa bỏ sự thanh tịnh và nề nếp thiện hạnh, trở nên ưa bạo lực và dối trá, lại vì lòng tham mà mưu sinh bằng mọi nghề nghiệp đáng chê trách, thì bị “làm tối” (vấy bẩn về đạo đức) và do đó sa xuống thân phận śūdra.
