अपाणिव्वाद् वय ब्रह्मन् कण्टकं नोद्धरामहे । जन्तूनुच्चावचानड्े दशतो न कषाम वा
apāṇivat vayaṁ brahman kaṇṭakaṁ noddharāmahe | jantūn uccāvacān daśato na kṣāmā vā ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Bạch Bà-la-môn! Chúng ta như kẻ không có tay: khi gai đâm vào thân, ta không thể nhổ ra. Lại nữa, bao loài sinh vật lớn nhỏ cắn chích trên thân ta, ta cũng không thể xua đuổi.”
