Adhyāya 174: Karma as an inescapable companion (कर्मानुगमन-उपदेश)

ततः संजीवितस्तेन बकराजस्तदानघ । उत्पत्य च समीयाय विरूपाक्षं बकाधिप:,निष्पाप नरेश! उससे उस समय बकराज जी उठा और वह उड़कर विरूपाक्षसे जा मिला

tataḥ saṁjīvitastena bakarājas tadānagha | utpatya ca samīyāya virūpākṣaṁ bakādhipaḥ ||

Bhīṣma nói: “Rồi sau đó, hỡi người vô tội, Bakrāja—chúa loài hạc—được người ấy làm cho sống lại. Vừa bật dậy, chúa loài hạc liền bay đi và đến gặp Virūpākṣa.” Sự việc này nêu bật sức mạnh đạo đức của việc hoàn sinh, và bổn phận của kẻ được cứu sống phải tìm đến, gắn bó với người mà mình mang ơn hay chịu ràng buộc nghĩa vụ.
