कार्तिक्यामद्य भोक्तार: सहस्र मे द्विजोत्तमा: । तत्रायमपि भोक्ता च देयमस्मै च मे धनम्
kārtikyām adya bhoktāraḥ sahasraṃ me dvijottamāḥ | tatrāyam api bhoktā ca deyam asmai ca me dhanam ||
Bhishma nói: “Hôm nay, trong lễ Kārtikī, ta sẽ thết đãi một ngàn vị bà-la-môn ưu tú. Hãy cho người này cũng được dự phần trong hàng thực khách; và từ chính tài sản của ta, cũng nên ban tặng cho ông ấy một lễ vật.”
