बक-गौतमाख्यानम् / The Baka–Gautama Account
On Gratitude and Friendship Ethics
चन्द्रमा विमल॑ व्योम यथाभ्युदिततारकम् । विकीर्याग्निं तथा भूतमुत्थितं श्रूयते तदा
candramā vimalaṃ vyoma yathābhyuditatārakam | vikīryāgniṃ tathā bhūtam utthitaṃ śrūyate tadā ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Như vầng trăng mọc lên trong bầu trời tinh khiết khi các vì sao đã hiện, cũng vậy—vào khoảnh khắc ấy, tại đàn tế, nó tung rải lửa tế ra khắp bốn phương và một linh thể ghê rợn được truyền rằng đã trỗi dậy nơi đó. Biến cố kinh hoàng này, ta nghe các bậc hiền triết thuật lại.”
