Daṇḍa as the Foundation of Social Order (दण्डप्रतिष्ठा)
विधान दैवविदहितं तत्र विद्वान् न मुहाृति । यथा सृष्टोडसि राजेन्द्र तथा भवितुमरहसि
vidhānaṁ daivavihitaṁ tatra vidvān na muhyati | yathā sṛṣṭo ’si rājendra tathā bhavitum arhasi ||
“Đây là pháp lệnh do định mệnh an bài; vì thế người trí không mê lầm vì nó. Ôi bậc vương giả tối thượng, Đấng Tạo Hóa đã nắn nên ngài thế nào—đặt ngài vào nơi sinh, dòng tộc và địa vị—thì ngài cũng nên như thế: hãy hành động đúng với bản tính và bổn phận (dharma) đã được phân định cho ngài.”
